ASBESTOS 2027 Awards
The ASBESTOS 2027 Awards celebrate the people and organisations making an outstanding contribution to asbestos management, safety and positive industry change across Australia and New Zealand.
Three awards will be presented during the Conference Dinner and Awards Evening on Tuesday 23 March 2027 in Christchurch. The evening will provide an opportunity to recognise excellence, share achievements and celebrate those helping advance the industry on the Road to Removal.
Award Categories
Active Environmental Solutions Innovation Award
Recognising individuals and organisations delivering innovative ideas, technologies or approaches that improve asbestos management. This award celebrates work that challenges conventional practice and contributes to safer, more effective and sustainable outcomes for the industry.
Identifibre Rising Star Award
Recognising an emerging leader in asbestos assessment and management. This award celebrates a FAMANZ member who has contributed innovative ideas to a significant asbestos project, undertaken valuable research or further study, or made a meaningful contribution to the industry, their workplace, community or FAMANZ.
Air-Met Scientific Derek Miller Award
Recognising a FAMANZ member who has made an outstanding contribution to the asbestos industry. This may include voluntary work, mentoring, technical development, industry leadership or the promotion of best practice in the field. The award commemorates the contribution of founding FAMANZ member Derek Miller.
