Awareness to Action

As asbestos professionals we are all aware about the hazards of asbestos and how important it is to continue to communicate the risks in a meaningful and balanced way. It is also up to us to drive change and reduce the burden of disease through strong action. At ASBESTOS 2025 we will explore how we communicate awareness effectively to all stakeholders and how we can turn that awareness into the right action.  Our goal is to continue to move beyond discussion and into “action”, where we drive real change creating the future where asbestos exposure will be a thing of the past.

The conference programme will include an education day, a series of concurrent streams, technical sessions, international speakers, panel discussions and social functions.

Why should you attend?

  • Asbestos can be an emotive term, how can we better communicate risk to all levels of technical abilities?
  • Removal is all about action and has a key role to play in reducing overall harm so let’s discuss innovations and great practice.
  • We need to create the asbestos future; so how can we influence and guide people to make safer and better decisions?
  • Hear about the latest research, technology, guidance documentation and regulatory updates from across Australia and New Zealand.
  • This is a unique opportunity to be part of a conference where change is already happening, and we will reflect on the past 12 months since the previous FAMANZ conference.
