Call for Presenters
At ASBESTOS 2027: Road to Removal, we will explore how we can turn awareness into meaningful action. Our goal is to move beyond discussion and focus on the practical steps, ideas and innovations that will help create an asbestos-free future.
We invite you to submit a brief abstract of no more than 300 words, outlining your proposed presentation. Presentations should be approximately 15–20 minutes and address the conference theme or one of the following abstract themes.

Insights That Drive Action
Share new research, data and evidence that improves our understanding of asbestos exposure, disease and risk. This theme focuses on insights that can strengthen policy, guide better practice and support progress towards asbestos removal.
Innovation in Practice
Explore the new technologies, ideas and smarter ways of working that are changing how asbestos is identified, managed and removed. This could include artificial intelligence, digital tools, improved processes or practical efficiencies.
Removal & Remediation
Share practical experiences from asbestos removal and remediation projects. Presenters are invited to explore complex challenges, successful approaches and lessons that others across the industry can apply to their work.
Progress Through Partnership
Show how industry, government, researchers, communities and other stakeholders are working together to achieve better outcomes. This theme focuses on partnerships that improve knowledge sharing, overcome barriers and accelerate progress.
Risks on the Road to Removal
Examine the current and emerging risks affecting asbestos management. Topics may include ageing buildings, natural disasters, unsafe removal, workforce capability and new or changing pathways of exposure.
